ABOUT BRAINCHILD

Brainchild is a literary and arts magazine for undergraduate honors students in the Mid-East Honors Association (MEHA). Brainchild strives to provide a haven for student work and give young creators the exposure and recognition they deserve.

Thanks to the support of Kent State University’s Honors College, Brainchild is able to open a conversation that traverses state lines and unites schools of thought across a variety of academic institutions. Our staff is composed of dedicated student editors and designers who use their skills to spend time with submissions and bring them together to create a cohesive magazine each year.

As a diverse literary and arts magazine, we don’t discriminate against mediums or movements. We believe that no matter your background, major, or experience level, you should be heard. Brainchild is looking for prose, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, art of all mediums, photography, and even innovative, undefined work that blurs the border between literature and art. How ever you tell your story and share your truths best, we want to see it.

If you would like to request a mailed copy of the magazine, or reach out to us with specific questions, please email editor@brainchildmagazine.org. Be sure to check out our social media pages to keep up with all things Brainchild!
